Many of my students are in the "Beaver Cleaver" scenerio. I have a majority of students who are raised by other relatives other than their parents. If parents are in their lives it is only one parent who takes on the task of raising the child. We as educators must become aware of the types of students we have and be sympathetic to the needs of these students. =(
